365, Day 12.
Today should be day 15, but since Wednesday I haven't had much time to create. I may make more than one piece today, or maybe I will relax and let the muse guide me.
I ignored today's prompt and just went with an idea I had begun to sketch out in my journal, a drawn butterfly made from imagined found objects.
Enjoy!!

I used the prompt 'make a stencil and use it in your creation', which was really for day 7 or something, but I'm jumping around, doing what feels right for the day.
Dolphins. I never draw dolphins, but I was looking at the paper and asking it what creations it had in it and I saw a Tribal Dolphin Sun. So now you can see it.
Enjoy!!

365-day 6.
Today I felt like drawing something simple and something I know.
I've been drawing this type of rose since I was about 13. It's gone through a lot of changes throughout the years, but it still remains my go to doodle.
The figure is much more recent. Based on gesture drawings, it made it's first appearance in 2006.
It feels good to combine them... kind of like one of my old friends meets one of my new friends, and they really get along. The best thing is that drawings don't get bitchy and turn against you :).

365, Day 5.
I was running low on ideas this morning and thought I wanted to do something a little more 3D. The prompt in the book for today was to work with something you collect. I have a little collection of wooden fish from mexico which are colorful and lovely, and they make me happy. Because I wanted to work more with my hands today I decided to make a fish from scrap clothing; old jeans, in fact, that I wore until they disintegrated. I loved those jeans, and now they are a fun, puckery, floppy fish!!!
Here it is, the Floppy Denim Fish!
